BankUnited announced the appointment of banking and mortgage industry
veteran Joseph Stanganelli as national sales leader for its residential
mortgage division.
Bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience to his new position,
Stanganelli will oversee residential lending operations, including sales
origination and affordable housing lending initiatives, in Florida, New
York, Connecticut and New Jersey. He has held senior leadership
positions at PNC Bank, Countrywide, Thornburg Mortgage and Bank of
America, among others.
Stanganelli holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University
of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of
America and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.
